Surviving Life with Laughter - Excerpt
How can you inject more enthusiasm and passion in your work? I decided a long time ago that the secret to success is to decide what you really like to do and then do it or at least try to do it! When you meet an enthusiastic man or woman at work, take a moment to observe them; see what sets them apart from their co-workers. I am sure their reply would be that they really enjoy their work!
The average working person spends approximately one-third of their existence in the work place, and 1,784 of those workdays will be Mondays! If we must work, and we do, then why not enjoy ourselves and do a better job while we are at it!
Following are a few fun ideas that should bring more laughter where you work. Post them on a bulletin board and see what happens!
Blow soap bubbles at your desk.
Learn to juggle scarves in your office.
Put jokes, funny stories, and cartoons in inter-office mail.
Make up fun riddles, and place them on toothpics. Stick them on cookies or candy and place them where the employees will enjoy them.
How about having everyone bring in their baby pictures for a bulletin board?
Use a Polariod camera to catch other employees doing something funny and paste it up on a board with a caption.
